Mapping Advent

In this pack there are four maps each dealing with one of Advent’s many rich themes:

• Watching and waiting
• Preparing a place
• The need for change
• Saying yes

Some of the readings, poems, music, art and connecting reflections identified as relevant to one theme will also speak to another. However, the material does broadly mirror one traditional Advent progression – from the waiting people of God, to the prophets, to John the Baptist and to Mary.

Mapping Advent may be useful to those who lead worship, lay or ordained, and is perfect for any individual or group wanting to reflect afresh upon Advent and live more deeply ‘in the season’.
