The church also receives a £7,500 Wolfson Fabric Repair Grant from the Wolfson Foundation, on the recommendation of the National Churches Trust.

The Revd David Wells, Rector of Holy Trinity, Caister-on-Sea said: “We are so grateful for the support from the National Church Trust and the Wolfson Foundation. It takes us a significant step closer to being able to carry out repairs that are essential to secure our much-loved building so it can continue at the heart of Caister’s community into the future.”

Broadcaster and journalist Huw Edwards, Vice President of The National Churches Trust, said:
“I’m delighted that Holy Trinity, Caister-on-Sea is being helped with a £10,000 National Churches Trust Cornerstone Grant and a £7,500 Wolfson Fabric Repair Grant. The grants will facilitate repairs and remodelling the vestry to make the building watertight. They will safeguard unique local heritage and help Holy Trinity continue to support local people as we begin to emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Paul Ramsbottom, Chief Executive at the Wolfson Foundation, said: “Churches play a central role in the spiritual life of a community, but they are also an integral, much loved, part of our cultural heritage. We are delighted to be working in partnership with the National Churches Trust on this important programme supporting the preservation of these remarkable and wonderful buildings.”
