Cromer Beach Fest is going live!

Cromer Beach Fest will be based in a large marquee in North Lodge Park, and will make use of nearby open spaces and, of course, the beach. The free event aims to engage with young people aged 0-16, providing activities, games and creative Bible teaching groups in the mornings. In the afternoons there will be activities for the whole family.

Launching the event at Cromer Parish Church on Sunday, members of the Cromer Beach Fest Team said “it is going to be bright, lively, interactive, eye-catching and most likely exhausting!”

Simon Fenn, Cromer Church Head of Mission said:

“Cromer has a long tradition of providing fantastic summer entertainment for visitors and locals alike, whether it’s the Crab & Lobster Festival, Cromer Carnival, the Cromer Pier Show or simply an afternoon on our Blue Flag beach. Cromer Beach Fest will offer children, young people and families four days of free fun and a chance to explore life with Jesus.”

A flavour of Cromer Beach Fest will be on offer in February half-term. “We’re inviting families to come along and enjoy an indoor Hawaiian theme beach party in the Parish Church. There will be games, craft activities and a party pack tea,” said Simon Fenn.

The Cromer Beach Fest indoor beach party takes place 3pm-5pm on Friday 21 February, free entry, donations welcome. Last October more than 150 people including 90 children enjoyed activities such as doughnut eating in the central aisle, MarioKart beamed onto the side walls and a neon disco at Cromer Church’s Light Party.

Cromer Beach Fest is a brand new initiative organised by Cromer Church in partnership with other local churches and community organisations.  It is built on the foundations of the SU Cromer Beach Mission which ran for many years but came to an end in 2019.
