Review and photo gallery of the Archdeacon's Charge 2019
18 May 2019
Well it was certainly a case that rain didn't stop play at the Archdeacon's Charge and Family Picnic 2019 at Sandringham. The sun may not have made an appearance but crowds of people certainly did.

Heads and bodies may have been dampened but spirits weren’t as the keen runners and walkers set off on their 5k, 10k and 15k courses, spurred on by the Bishop of Lynn, the Rt Revd Jonathan Meyrick.
As well as the run and the walk that went through the beautiful grounds of Sandringham Estate, there was plenty to do in and around the Charge marquee including craft stalls, listening to live music, enjoying refreshments and activities for the kids. The East Anglian Air Ambulance flew in just after midday too for people to have a look at close up.
The race winners were:
- Amelia Whiting for the Women’s 15k
- Tim Angell for the Men’s 15k
- Billy Life for the 15-17
- Tom Whiting for the 11-14
- Jonah Life for the Under 11
Much work and energy goes into the organising and running of this popular event and this year was no exception. Well done to whole team who put this event on and also to you for continuing to support it. Much needed funds will have been raised for churches across the Diocese as well as for charities in the region.
We’ve collected some of our favourite photos from the day and added them below – maybe you’re in one of them! We’ve also added more photos to our Facebook page.
