SUMMARY:ECO FORUM - Changing Perspectives: seeing creation differently
DESCRIPTION:You are warmly invited to a creation pilgrimage around Norwich Cathedral.  In the stillness of the evening come and discover how this ancient building can help us get a fresh perspective on our present day environmental challenges.  Come and see the building in new and unusual ways and leave with a refreshed view of God’s wonderful creation. \nThe creation pilgrimage takes place on Tuesday 12th November  and will begin at 6.30 by the Pelican Lectern under the tower of the Cathedral. \nParking is available in The Close.  Please enter the Cathedral by the South Door – the door nearest the car park with a clock over the door.  The pilgrimage will last approximately 75 minutes.  Please note: we will be accessing some of the spiral staircases within the Cathedral. \nIn preparation for the creation pilgrimage you are welcome to join us for Choral Evensong at 5.30; let the music and words of the evening office calm and inspire you\, preparing your mind and soul to see creation differently. \n

SUMMARY:Making room for swifts
DESCRIPTION:Would summer be the same without swift ‘screaming parties’ as they fly overhead? Surely this is something that would be truly missed if we lost these amazing birds that are now listed as a red data book species. \nThrough this online presentation\, Caroline Spinks\, Norwich Swift Network\, will give us an insight into these birds and talk about how we can help to look after swifts in Norfolk. \nThese activities are being run as part of the Norfolk Churchyard Conservation Scheme which was established in 1981 and is run by Norfolk Wildlife Trust in collaboration with the Diocese of Norwich. These sessions have been designed to support churches wishing to manage their churchyards for both people and wildlife. These activities are FREE. \nBooking essential – through Eventbrite at norfolkwildlifetrust.org.uk/whats-on \nFor further information visit norfolkwildlifetrust.org.uk\nor email churchyards@norfolkwildlifetrust.org.uk
