SUMMARY:Youthscape Essentials East
DESCRIPTION:The Youthscape Essentials course is our training for all those involved or interested in being involved\, in youth ministry in your local church\, school or community. This is more than just a training course\, it’s formational. Youth work isn’t just a technical skill you pick up and ‘do’ nor is it merely a mass of information for you to download. Fundamentally\, we want to help form you as a Christian\, a disciple of Jesus\, and for a love of working with young people to flow out of that. It’s communal too. You’re taking this course as a collective\, a team\, where you can share with and learn from each other\, growing in a community mindset– because God’s vision for the Church is not merely assorted individuals but one harmonious\, diverse family.\n\nThe course will be delivered in a hybrid style\, mixing local in person sessions with online sessions for the whole group\, allowing to explore your ministry as a local team whilst also being inspired by the stories from across the diocese!\n\nSo\, come and join this amazing journey\, invest in your ministry and your Christian discipleship\, and simply select the local hub that will work best for you!\n\nFor more information about the Youthscape Essentials course then visit www.youthscape.co.uk/yse/home

SUMMARY:New Housing Training Day
DESCRIPTION:A new housing training day will be held on Thursday 14th May 2026 at St Luke’s Church\, 61 Aylsham Road\, Norwich\, NR3 2HF with coffee from 10am and closing worship finishing at 3pm. Lunch will be provided. \nThe Diocese of Norwich is pleased to announce a day exploring ministry to new housing communities. We will focus on how a local church can engage with\, welcome and support people moving into a new house on an estate within the benefice and how to get involved there in general. We will talk mostly about how to do something effective using the resources you already have to hand. DESCRIPTION:Next training course dates: 9 & 16 October\, 2-4pm\, St Stephens\, Rampant Horse Street\, Norwich\, NR2 1QP\n \nWe’re building a network of chaplains across the diocese. If you’re already a parish Eco Rep\, this will really simply mean sharing your experience with churches in a wider area. Could God be calling you?\n \nThe primary purpose of this voluntary role is to encourage and support churches to respond to the climate an ecological crisis\, by advocating for environmental action\, resourcing others\, and helping churches on their Eco Church and net zero journey.\n\nFor a more details of what the role commitment and responsibilities are\, please see the role description here and/or contact Barbara.bryant@dioceseofnorwich.org 07876 634867 for a chat. \n\nYou’ll need to be able to commit to attending both dates\, but do not need to commit to the role until after training is completed. \n\nThe training sessions will cover the theological context  of our climate and biodiversity crises\, our missional response to them\, and how to signpost to practical support on working towards net zero\, improving biodiversity and working through the Eco Church survey.\n\nPlease contact Barbara if you would like to book onto the course.
