SUMMARY:Pilgrimage Walk: From Brokenness to New Life
DESCRIPTION:Join the Aylsham and District Team of Churches on Saturday 8 August 2026 for a pilgrimage walk along the “From Brokenness to New Life” trail from Sheringham to Trimingham. \nStarting with prayer and reflection at St Peter’s Church\, Sheringham at 8.30am\, pilgrims can choose to walk the full route or join for part of the journey. The route visits churches in Beeston Regis\, West Runton\, East Runton\, Cromer\, Overstrand\, Sidestrand and Trimingham\, with prayers offered at each stop for local communities and the Diocese of Norwich’s emerging strategy. \nThe walk is expected to finish in Trimingham at around 3pm. SUMMARY:Walsingham Way (Part 2)
DESCRIPTION:The Walsingham Way Group will be launching a pilgrimage route from King’s Lynn to Walsingham outside the Minster at 12pm on Saturday 6th June. There will be several speeches and refreshments\, followed by the option at 1.30pm of walking the first three miles of the route from the Minster to St Mary’s\, South Wootton\, where further refreshments will be provided. All are welcome. \nThe King’s Lynn-Walsingham Way is the second part of the Walsingham Way\, the first part – the Norwich-Walsingham Way – having already been established. The route starts at King’s Lynn Minster and takes us through Lynn\, the Woottons\, Castle Rising\, Sandringham\, Anmer\, Great Bircham\, South Creake\, North Barsham and Walsingham. It is 29 miles long. The halfway point is Great Bircham. \nIt is a route designed for those wishing to reenact the route taken by Hanseatic and English pilgrims in the medieval period\, for those who wish to visit the historic sights like the Norman Castle Rising Castle or the angel-roofed St Mary’s\, South Creake\, or simply those who wish to take exercise for improving their mental health. \n
