We sense\nthat Julian is a gift for our times\, and invite you to join us as we explore excerpts from Revelations of Divine Love. \nThis two-day retreat will offer a spacious mix of teaching\, stillness and contemplative prayer\, with space and time to enjoy and pray in the\nJulian cell\, church and garden. Gail and Ian will be offering a simple and deepening practice of contemplative prayer through the retreat. They will\nbe sharing from their life experiences\, and Ian will be sharing from his poems and photographs.

DESCRIPTION:Spend a relaxing day in St Peter and St Paul’s Church at East Harling. Learn to make a textile picture\, using simple techniques and explore your own unique creativity. You will be given complete instruction by Sharon as well as written instructions and ideas sheets. All materials are provided. \nMaking textile pictures is a delight and hopefully you will come away from this workshop\, full of inspiration. \nNo previous experience is necessary other than maybe the most basic sewing skills. \nSharon Blackman is a textile artist from Chelmsford and has been making textile pictures from recycled fabrics for about 25 years. She has a quirky\, folk art style and particularly loves to make pictures inspired by gardens\, cottages\, the seaside and the beautiful\, simple everyday pleasures of life. She sells her original pictures and cards all over the world and has a large online following. She loves to inspire others to make textile pictures and to receive the same joy and peace that this technique has given to her. \nHot and cold drinks will be provided throughout the day. You will need to bring your own packed lunch or take a walk and buy something at our local shops.

DESCRIPTION:This is the last chance to see the magnificent completed patchwork quilted “hugs” at St Andrew’s Church\, Little Massingham on Friday 19 and Saturday 20 July. These quilts have been made by people living throughout the whole of the U.K. After the exhibition they will be handed over to the Norfolk County Council where the young adult care leavers will be able to select a quilt of their choice. \nThis has been a year long project to raise funds for Little Massingham Church roof. DESCRIPTION:The renowned Brook Street Band\, Rachel Harris (baroque violin)\, Tatty Theo (baroque cello\, Carolyn Gibley (harpsichord) will be performing music by J.S.Bach\, G.F.Handel and Telemann in St. Nicholas Church\, Salthouse. The Band performs and teaches throughout the UK and Europe\, and broadcasts regularly for Radio 3 and Classic FM. The Band established its own love:Handel critically acclaimed bi-annual music festival. This will be their second visit to Salthouse Church.

It will include a mix of sacred and secular favourites such as Faure’s Requiem\, music from Evita and contributions from The Beatles\, Bernstein\, Bacharach and Bach. \nRefreshments (included in the ticket price)will be served during the interval and there will also be a raffle. \nAll money raised will be split between Hempnall Church\, Cancer Research and MND Research.
