Understanding Christianity was launched in 2016-17. SIAMS reports in the last two years are emphasising the impact of this resource on pupil outcomes, the quality of teaching and increased teacher confidence and subject knowledge. These four sessions offer schools and academies who have not undertaken the training before the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the theology and pedagogy which underpin the approach. All delegates will receive a resource pack which includes units of work, a wall frieze and RE Today Picturing Christianity. In addition, schools who want to ‘refresh’ their expertise can join this course at a reduced fee if they already have the resource.
Delegates are required to attend all four sessions:
- Monday 7 June 2021, 1.15pm-5.15pm
- Monday 14 June 2021, 1.15-5.15pm
- Monday 21 June 2021, 1.15-5.15pm
- Monday 28 June 2021, 1.15-5.15pm
Cost: £195 (includes resource pack) £120 (excludes resource pack)
Audience: Teachers and RE leaders in ALL schools across the county
