Listening, conversation, problem solving, working with others – are all the stuff of ministry.
Listening, conversation, problem solving, working with others – are all the stuff of ministry. This four day course will help develop the skills you already have and help you developing them in other people too. Dates for the 4 day course are as follows 9 and 10 September and 3 and 4 November 2020
You will learn to have honest conversations and effective, focused meetings, enabling others to take more responsibility to find solutions to problems.
You will also discover how to have conversations that are supportive, challenging, and where learning happens.
The course is run in a group setting over 4 days with a gap between the second and third days to allow you to process what you are learning.
You will have the chance to be coached in between.
The learning happens in the room – there are no assignments or essays although we will provide you with a comprehensive booklist and suggestions on how you can develop your practise.
Many people use Transforming Conversations in their current role. Some use it as a first step in a pathway to accreditation as an ICF Certified Coach.
This course is offered to those clergy in leadership and supervisory roles, and is limited to 24 participants.
It is essential that you attend all four days.
We start promptly at 10am on Days 1 and 3 and finish by 5pm on Days 2 and 4. It’s important that you are there for the whole time, and useful for you to know that you will be very tired!
It is run by Nicky McGinty who has worked across the Church of England, charities and businesses as a consultant, facilitator, trainer and coach and is an associate of 3D Coaching. She is a self-supporting priest in the diocese of Leicester.
