Taizé pilgrimage
Sat 15 Jul - Mon 24 Jul
France, Norfolk
Join Bishop Graham on a pilgrimage to the Taizé community in Burgundy, France this summer – with thousands of young adults from across the world, for an experience like no other.

Young people aged 18-29 are invited to join a group travelling from the Diocese of Norwich, 15-24 July 2023, for a truly unique experience of community, worship and prayer with Taizé.
Simply put, Taizé is an extraordinary place – quite different from anywhere else. It combines a religious monastery with the feel of a huge youth camp! Young adults from many different backgrounds and denominations travel to Taizé for a unique Christian experience of openness, solidarity and encounter.
Bishop Graham says: “A pilgrim is someone who leaves the comfort of home to travel beyond familiar boundaries, to cross into new landscapes and places, and to step out into the unknown on an adventure with God. That’s my invitation to you – to experience something new in your journey with Jesus in the rhythm of prayer and a simple life at Taizé.”
Thanks to the generous support of the Anne French Trust, we are able to offer this opportunity for the significantly discounted price of £100 per person. Additionally, up to 100 per cent bursaries are available for students and those on low wages.
Being at Taizé is an experience rather than a ‘talk’. This means it is accessible to those who do not think of themselves as being religious, as well as those of other faiths. Each day in the community includes services, biblical reflections, small international discussion groups, practical activities, and prayer with the whole community. As well as this, it offers a safe way for young people to experience a wide range of languages and cultures.
We have extended the deadline until the end of May to fill the last few places on a first come, first served basis. Thereafter we’ll start a reserve list. Please contact contact Jeremy Brown at gnvmr.cvytevzntr@qvbprfrbsabejvpu.bet to book your place.
Know a young person who might be interested?
Visiting Taizé has been a transformational experience for many, many people. If you know a young person who would enjoy and benefit from this opportunity, please do share this with them! Thank you.
Young people who’ve previously been to Taizé said:
“I loved the simplicity of the day and the space to be.”
“I feel more confident in making new friends and I am going home to look for opportunities to serve.”
“I didn’t need to worry about what anyone else thought of me.”
