Shakespeare at Bylaugh Hall

Sun 1 Aug at 2.00 pm - 6.30 pm

Bylaugh Hall, NR20 4RL

Come and enjoy the rich narrative of Shakespeare's Henry V, performed by Festival Players International at the historic Bylaugh Hall.

The Festival Players Theatre Company is committed to bringing you the very best in professional touring theatre. For 2021, the Festival Players will be touring Shakespeare’s ‘Henry V’, his most popular History Play

We appreciate that not all of our audiences have previously experienced one of our major playwright’s brilliant plays presented in a colourful, clear, and entertaining production. The company consists of seven or eight professional actors who play all the parts. This frequently involves quick costume changes, with men doubling up as women and vice versa.

As one reviewer wrote: “The cast were all excellent and moved from part to part with ease. It was hard to believe seven people played more than twice as many characters.”

The Festival Players’ Patron is Dame Judi Dench

The performance will take place on the south lawn of Bylaugh Hall by kind permission of Mr & Mrs Ben Budworth, gates open at 2pm

This performance is raising funds in aid of the Friends of Bylaugh Church and the Friends of Bawdeswell Church
