A series of half-hour musical meditations every Saturday in Lent, featuring a variety of beautiful choral music
Each Saturday in Lent, this series of short meditations in music prepares us for the celebration of the Paschal Mystery in Holy Week. On 25th February, 11th March, and 1st April, the programme features choral works by Tallis, Goss, Palestrina, Stainer, Phillips, Purcell and Gibbons. On 4th and 18th March, the meditation will be a performance of Benjamin Britten’s canticle ‘Abraham and Isaac’.
Each meditation lasts half an hour and the Eucharist follows at 12 noon for those who wish to stay.
