Living in Love & Faith (LLF) diocesan online course
Tue 15 Jun at 7.30 pm - 9.30 pm
Jane Keeton and Keith James will be running a diocesan online version of the LLF course open to all.
Living in Love and Faith (LLF) is a major ‘learning journey’ project for the Church of England about human identity, sexuality and marriage. It draws together the Bible, theology, science and history with powerful real-life stories.
At the heart of the project is a five-session course, which we will do over the course of five Tuesday evenings:
- Tuesday 15 June, 7:30pm – 9pm
- Tuesday 22 June, 7:30pm – 9pm
- Tuesday 7 July 7:30pm – 9pm
- Tuesday 14 July, 7:30pm – 9pm
- Tuesday 21 July, 7:30pm – 9pm
It’s really important to commit to the whole conversation. Of course, people might have to miss a week, but we hope that people will see the five weeks as a whole, as we get to know one another, establish trust, and explore what makes a good conversation.
To book your place please register via Eventbrite. Your Eventbrite ticket will only show 15 June, but it covers all five dates of the course. Please register before 5pm on 13 June 2021.
The Zoom joining link will be emailed to you after 13 June. Please use your correct email and contact details, as this will be how you receive your joining instructions.
If you have any other questions about Living in Love and Faith as a whole, please contact the Diocesan Advocate, Keith James.
More information about LLF is found on the resource hub.
Over 30 people have taken part in an earlier online course – here is some of the feedback:
“This course has been a valuable opportunity to think more deeply and to have good conversations with others, who may or may not have the same view, within a safe and confidential environment. The atmosphere throughout the course was positive and respectful.” – Revd Lydia Avery
“I am just coming to the end of the five-session ‘Living in love and Faith’ course (LLF) run by Keith James and Jane Keeton, exploring Christian teaching and learning about identity, sexuality, relationships and marriage. They have very sensitively led us through some difficult terrain as a large, diverse group of people who have come together to share in each other’s presence on a journey of learning about what it is to live as unique, quite different, and ‘totally loved by God’ people.
“The course offers much follow up material that is easily accessed for free and is an excellent springboard to further Bible study and discussion to further seek to discern together what God is telling His church.” – Revd Rachel Foster
“Jane Keeton and Keith James have created a virtual space for honest and gracious engagement with the LLF resources. I’ve met and listened to people who hold different views to me, and whilst this has been a challenge, it has opened a dialogue I hope will lead to wider discernment and greater shared understanding of how we can live together as Church.” – Revd Tracy Jessop
