A popular church historian is to run a 5-session class on Historic Churches of Norfolk at Discover Downham in January. John Vigar has over 40 years’ experience working with historic churches and has recorded over 13,000 churches in England and Wales. His book ‘Churches of Norfolk` was published in 2022 by Amberley Press and he is a member of the Advisory Council of the Norfolk Churches Trust.
In this course, which is suitable for beginners, we will look at the architecture and history of Norfolk Churches in a series of lavishly illustrated presentations which will also cover furnishings including stained glass and monuments. John promises it will be both entertaining and educational.
The course costs £38 and runs every Wednesday afternoon in January. Places are limited and advance booking is essential.
