Housing for clergy

Information for clergy from our property department about home repairs, claim forms, the housing handbook and more.

We are committed to caring for our clergy so they can carry out their mission with the Diocese.  By providing over 250 quality houses and taking care of maintenance, repairs and improvements, we help clergy to fully concentrate on their role within the community they serve.

Housing Handbook for Clergy

Written by our property team, the Housing Handbook for Clergy is an A-Z of helpful information designed for clergy to refer to. Relevant links to documents, including contact details, are included in the handbook. Useful documents can also be found at the bottom of this page.

To all occupiers of Diocese of Norwich properties

Please be aware that there remains a freeze on all expenditure, apart from that required to resolve property issues which pose a risk to life or welfare.

Please report property issues using one of the following two methods:

  • Preferably by email to cebcregl@qvbprfrbsabejvpu.bet. Please include as much information as possible, including photos where applicable.
  • Or by telephone on 01603 882364 (Charles Thurston) or 01603 881730 (Alan Cole), during office hours – Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

For emergencies outside of office hours, please call 07467 488 079. A member of staff will return your call or text with advice and guidance as soon as it is practical to do so.

IF YOU SMELL GAS, CALL 0800 111 999

These reporting methods are in place so that works and expenditure can be monitored closely. We would ask that you refrain from contacting our regular contractors directly.

All non-urgent maintenance issues should still be reported using the methods above. These will be considered for action as and when we are able to do so.
