Occasional duty, mileage rates and expenses

Forms to claim expenses or occasional duty rates from the Diocese.

In light of COVID-19 and the recent government guidelines, please read the following message:

To all Diocesan Expense Claimants

I should like to express my thanks on behalf of the Diocese for the time you give to the work across the Diocese, never more so in these extremely uncertain and difficult times.

May I request that all expense claims are temporarily emailed rather than posted.  Please email them to the appropriate person who normally authorises your claims, I would then request that this person authorises them as appropriate and forwards them to Fiona Jeffs in the Diocesan Finance team at svban.wrssf@qvbprfrbsabejvpu.bet.  We are aiming to process these on a monthly basis but this will only be possible using the email system outlined.

May I also request that expenses are kept to an absolute minimum and nothing is pre-ordered or booked.

The following forms should be used when either claiming expenses or occasional duty rates from the Diocese.

If you are unsure of entitlement to fees, please review the Diocesan Fee Procedure.

Please also note that completed claims (e.g. those which are fully authorised) should be with the finance office at Diocesan House by the 7th of the following month to which the claim relates.

Please note that there was no increase to statutory fees with effect from the 1st January 2021. Therefore, the 2020 Occasional Duty rates and forms are still in place.
