Two church ministers, the Revd PJ Brombley and the Revd Matt Luscombe, have been appointed to work alongside existing leaders and churches to develop their ministries and engagement with the communities they serve.

Initially they are familiarising themselves with aspects of St Thomas Church, Norwich (STN) and how The Sports Factory operates, and as time moves on they will spend an increasing amount of time in specific focus areas.

Focus Area Action Plans and Project Initiation documents are drawn up with the local parishes to help strategically focus future work.

Our first undergraduate student in the Diocese’ Undergraduate Training Scheme in Youth Ministry started in September 2019, and they are based in the Lowestoft area.

In Brundall and Thetford, we aim to employ youth ministers to help churches connect with young people. Experience from all the four areas will help guide and shape future growth and locations which have not yet been finalised.
