The Resource Centres at Easton and Loddon contain a wide range of materials for church, parish or school based work with children and young people.
Browse and borrow from an extensive library of books, DVDs, puppets, Godly Play sets, games and Prayer Space equipment. Items can be borrowed within the area of the Diocese of Norwich, usually for up to one month. Most items are loaned free of charge although there are charges for some items.
Please check the online catalogue for availability and call us to reserve items. Please note all items must be collected from and returned to the Resource Centre from which they are borrowed.
From 1st January 2019 those wishing to register to borrow resources must do so through their organisation*. All existing and previous borrowers will need to re-register if they wish to continuing borrowing.
Details of registration and payment are outlined below, but in summary:
- A lead contact registers on behalf of their organisation, with their organisation’s permission.
- On receipt of the registration form the organisation will be invoiced for £25 which is payable annually when the registration is renewed.
- Individual borrowers may then register with the permission of their organisation.
How to register for borrowing resources in 2019
A lead contact - with their organisation’s permission - needs to fill out the attached Organisation Registration Form.
Forms can be completed now and returned to firstname.lastname@example.org or you can register prior to borrowing for the first time in the new year. (forms are available to download at the bottom of this page)
Once an organisation is registered, individual borrowers from the organisation can register to borrow items. By registering, borrowers agree that the organisation has given their permission for them to register as a borrower, the organisation is aware of the purposes for which the individual is borrowing resources and that the organisation is suitably insured to cover the activity and use of resources.
When an organisation is registered they will be invoiced for £25 by the Diocese of Norwich. This annual payment allows all registered individuals of the organisation to borrow items throughout the year. Individual item charges will no longer apply, however small charges may still be applicable for consumable items e.g. badge pieces for the badge maker. Charges for consumables can be paid at the time of loan.
By signing up, the organisation and individual agrees to abide by the terms and conditions including having appropriate insurance and paying for repair or replacement should items be damaged whilst on loan.
Once registered, the process for borrowing remains the same. Items can be reserved through the online catalogue or by contacting the CYF team. Registered borrowers are also welcome to come and browse the resources. All items must be signed out by a member of staff or using the sign-out book in the resource centre.
If visiting Diocesan House, a member of the CYF team (when available) will be able to help you, or you will be able to sign out the keys from main reception to access the resource centre. If you are visiting St John’s Loddon, please phone ahead to check the church will be open.
The library catalogue is available to be searched online; please feel free to browse. You are able to request items to be reserved via the site, any requests will be responded to as soon as possible.
