HOPE 2014…Youth take the lead!

Posted on Tuesday 23 July 2013
Have you heard about HOPE 2014 yet? It's a big year of mission for churches across the country… Would you like to encourage your church to get involved in HOPE 2014?

The organisation HOPE works to bring churches together to impact communities. It encourages young people to take the lead in mission and see themselves as a catalyst for it. HOPE supports churches within a community to undergo mission in their local area.

Mark Heybourne (Children, Youth & Families Development Manager) says: ‘When HOPE has run in the past, it has been encouraging to see how local churches from all denominations within the Diocese have joined together to act and pray. I am particularly excited about HOPE 2014’s vision to enable young people to put into action their own mission ideas.

2014 may seem a long way off but preparations are already taking place and it is great to hear that young people are taking a lead in them. 52 areas of the country are taking part in a year of unbroken prayer. Churches in each area are taking it in turns to run a week of 24-7 prayer, praying for a breakthrough in their area.
