Securing and providing funds through grants helps us to invest in future generations, whether it’s through supporting vicars and communities or developing church buildings.
The Diocese of Norwich provides grants to help churches in their mission and ministry in local communities. For example, a parish can claim up to £600 per year for equipment such as projectors, promotional literature, notice boards or other resources. These provisions help the church interact with its community and proclaim the Christian Gospel.
Vicars can receive grants from the Diocese for their continuing development and we also award grants that support work with children and young people.
If there is external funding available, we’ll help churches find it. We signpost and advise on grants that churches may be entitled to from other organisations such as English Heritage and The National Lottery who provide grants for things like improvements to church buildings and the purchase of minibuses.
